UDEI announces the formation of the Center for Carbon-Free Power Integration.
CCPI, administered by the College of Marine and Earth Sciences, is involved with scientific research on power from fluid flows in the environment along with evaluating technical methods to convert, transmit and store that power, and conducting policy analysis of rules to integrate those sources into today’s policy and planning processes.
The Board on Energy and Environmental Systems of the National Research Council recently published this 32-page booklet. Geared to a general audience, the booklet is the first in what will be a series of informational booklets designed to engage readers in current topics in science, engineering, and medicine.
The series is part of the National Academies' Communications Initiative.
